United Properties needs new partner for Minneapolis hotel

United Properties needs more time to stack up the $10 million it needs to buy the Nicollet Hotel Block from the city of Minneapolis. A potential partner has developed cold feet, leaving plans for a new 40-level hotel and residential tower on the site in limbo. “We remain confident that, given time, we will secure the necessary financial partners to develop this signature project for downtown Minneapolis,” United spokeswoman Sheila Thelemann told the Star Tribune.
