Wilmington, N.C., development moves forward after dumping multifam component

Developer Swain & Associates is moving closer to breaking ground on Headwaters Town Center, a 75,200-square-foot retail center it wants to build in Hampstead, N.C., after a county planning board approved its master plans, reports Star News. The company shelved plans to include multifamily units in the center after local residents complained.
