In Westchester, malls and strips are making themselves over

The retail stock in Westchester County , N.Y., is undergoing a modernization, according to The Real Deal.

 

Acadia Realty Trust,Grid Properties, Kite Realty Group, Saber Real Estate Advisors and Simon are among the county's retail property owners that are re-investing in existing shopping centers and in some cases building new ones. 

 

Average asking rents climbed to an eight-year high of $28.35 per square foot in November 2016, according to Bronxville-based Admiral Real Estate Services.
