General Growth HQ in Chicago up for redevelopment

Looks like General Growth will need to look for a new headquarters. The Chicago-based REIT's home office is in the General Growth Building on Wacker Street.

The Howard Hughes Corp., a spin-off of General Growth itself, owns the building and is partnering with Riverside Investment & Development  to redevelop it after General Growth’s lease expires in 2019, according to Curbed.

The redevelopment had been held up by a legal complaint, according to Crain's Chicago Business.
