Compass adds fifth DFW area storage property to portfolio

Compass Self Storage, a member of the Amsdell family of companies, acquired of a 49,000-square-foot self storage center located at 4209 Alliance Gateway Road in Fort Worth, TX. 


This acquisition marks the fifth storage center in the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth market for Compass Self Storage. 


This transaction marks the company's eighth acquisition since the start of 2017 and also takes their total number of self storage centers to 77 locations nationally.


The newest Compass Self Storage center offers over 49,000 net rentable square feet. It features covered RV/boat storage spaces, climate controlled units and convenient drive up units. It also offers a full line of moving and packing supplies and truck rental to make it a one-stop solution for anyone moving their home or business.  Upgrades, such as state-of-the-art security systems and individual digital customer access control are also planned.


Compass Self Storage continues to grow their portfolio of self storage centers with the addition of this property in Ft. Worth, Texas.

The  acquisition was made by separate affiliates of Amsdell Group, LLC and Compass Self Storage, LLC. The Amsdell family of companies is headquartered in Cleveland, OH. Amsdell draws its roots from the family owned construction company founded in 1928 and has since been active in several billions of dollars worth of real estate ventures with a primary focus on self storage.  Amsdell has owned and operated over 500 storage centers under various trade names in over 27 states.
